Events
ASDB keeps busy all year long by hosting high school student interested in Boston University, holding three phone-a-thons as well as planning for and executing our largest event, Multicultural Community Weekend.
Campus Visit: If you’d like to bring a school or student organization to the University and meet ASDB members, we can arrange a special itinerary for you. Your visit at Boston University would consist of:
- An information session given by a member of the Boston University board of admission and an ASDB member who will speak to students about their academic, personal and cultural experiences at Boston University.
- A walking tour of our campus which highlights our unique layout and some of our facilities including the George Sherman Student Union, Mugar Memorial Library, a dorm room and our Fitness and Recreation Center.
- A lunch in one of our dining halls hosted by multiple ASDB members.
Day visits are a great way for high school students to learn about what it takes to get into college, what it is like to be a college student and what it is like to be a part of the Boston University community. Please call the Admissions Reception Center at 617-353-9375 to schedule your visit.
Phone-a-thons: ASDB holds three phone-a-thons each academic year—one in November, one in February and one in March. This is an opportunity for ASDB members to call and connect with minority high-school students from across the country who have expressed their interest in BU.
Multicultural Community Weekend (MCW): MCW is ASDB’s largest and most exciting event. Our annual MCW invites accepted applicants from underrepresented populations to Boston University’s campus to learn more about student life at BU. Prospective students are hosted overnight by current students and are invited to several social events to get them acquainted with all aspects of the university.
