Winter Break Relaxing

Hello BU!

My name is Veronica Bohorquez, and I recently joined ASDB this year! I am a junior in the School of Education majoring in Bilingual Education with a minor in Spanish. I’ve been a part of ASDB’s Multicultural weekend as both a prospective and a host, it’s basically one of the reasons that I ended up choosing BU.

This winter break has consisted of relaxing, catching up on sleep, and recollecting with a few friends. I’m trying to get in my last good byes and see those that mean most to me because I will be studying abroad for the Spring semester. If you read Jasmine’s post before me, I’ll actually be joining her in the BU Madrid Program. I’ve never been to Europe before so I am very excited but at the same time unaware of what to expect. Part of the BU Madrid Program, is that I am participating in the Internship Program. This program is made up of being placed in a career oriented environment that one might be interested in, alongside living with a host family for the entire semester. I will be living alongside a couple and their two 13 year old twins. In addition, I will be interning under a sector of the Department of State which is the Full Bright Scholarship. I am very excited to see where the internship takes me and what skills I will gain.

I hope everyone enjoys the remainder of their vacation and I wish the best of luck to everyone! I’ll definitely be missing ASDB and everyone thats a part of it.

Best Wishes,

Veronica
